Yoshoku is one of Japanese food categories which originally means "Western food". In the end of 19th century, many European foods were introduced into Japan. Since the food culture in Japan was very different from Europe, many foods were arranged to fit Japanese people's taste. There are even original recipe such as Omu-rice; tomato tasted rice in Omulet. Yoshoku is now separated category from original Western food; the fusion of French, Italy, Germany, Spanish, etc., and Japanese.
Ginza Candle opened in 1950 in Ginza as Yoshoku restaurant and has been favorite for many famous people. Ginza Candle Jiyugaoka is the only branch.
Their specialty includes: Chikin buscket told world's most delicious, Hamburg steak of selected Japanese beef, Shrimp & macaroni gratin in 1950's, Special Omu-rice, and 1950's Apple pie. My flickr photos tagged as "ginzacandle" are also available to see some of their dishes.
